The new design has improved the strength of the lever it does however feel different in use to the old pattern, a trifle floppy now there are not any springs.

Just to let anyone know this part wont fit a RE420 Flymo. My mistake as I should have looked closer, but it was obvious once I removed the old unit that the internals wont fit.
