The o-ring seal sits between the valve plug and the valve.

At some point in time, you're going to have to replace the gaskets in your pressure washer as they are generally made from rubber that eventually deteriorates. Not changing the O-rings in a timely manner can lead to continual messy water leaks while your pressure washing.
