Flow Through Element

The primary function of the flow through element in your dishwasher is to maintain the temperature of the water that is coming into the unit.

Another function is that it heats the air inside of the unit during the drying cycle to make the evaporation process faster.

If you have a damaged or faulty element you will notice that your dishes do not come out as clean as they normally do, as the water is not staying hot throughout the entire program.
