How to Replace the Brushroll on a Gtech Sweeper

    The following is a description for replacing the brush roll and edge wheel on a Gtech SW04 sweeper.

    Agitator Brush

    The edge wheel and brushroll on your Gtech sweeper can be removed for cleaning and replacement purposes.

    It is possible that during operation you may accidentally vacuum up hair or thread that becomes tangled around the brushroll, this can cause a blockage and stop the sweeper working efficiently.

    To avoid this developing into a serious fault, it is advisable that you clear any blockage as soon as possible.

    How to Replace The Edge Wheel and Brushroll on a Gtech sweeper:

    1. Push the latch and un-hook the edge wheel cover.

    2. Slide the belt off the end of the brush roll drive gear.

    3. Lift and slide the brush roll out of the unit.

    4. You can then push the edge wheel out of the cover.

    5. Remove tangled thread or blockage from the brush roll.

    6. Replace the brush roll by fitting the shaft into the bearing in the housing, and then engage the end with the drive gear into the unit. Note: peg to relocate into unit.

    7. Refit the belt and edge wheel.

    8. Push into place until the latch is securely engaged.
