Video Transcript: How to Replace a Zanussi Condenser Tumble Dryer Drum Belt

Welcome to BuySpares, in this video we will be showing you how to replace the drum belt on as a Zanussi condenser tumble dryer.

Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first unplugged from the mains.

To begin remove the top panel by removing these two screws, then remove the side panels by taking out the screws, before lifting and turning the side panels to unhook them from their mountings, then remove the fan cover and fan to allow the belt to fit onto the motor shaft.

Disconnect this plug and undo the top rail fixing screws, then remove the heater cover before removing this back panel screw. Ease the drum away from the front enough to allow you to remove and slip the new belt over the drum, and refit the drum back onto the front of the machine.

Refit the screw that holds the back panel and refit the heater cover, the top cabinet and then refit the plug.

Take off the fan cover and fan and loosen the motor mounting to allow the belt to be fitted onto the motor shaft, refit the motor bracket and the belt over the tension pulley – s`lowly rotate the drum to ensure the belt runs correctly.

Refit the fan and its cover.

Finally replace the side panels and top before retrying the appliance.
