How to Replace a Tumble Dryer Heater (Beko)

Welcome to BuySpares. In this video we will show you how to change a Beko tumble dryer heater.

Important: Before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that it is first unplugged from the mains.

If the dryer isn't heating up but the motor is running normally there is a high chance of the heater has failed.

Many dryers will overheat if stopped during the dryer cycle or if there is poor airflow caused by a block condenser or filter.

When this happens the heat within the machine will not be called by the airflow and may cause thermostats to fail.

Some machines may have a reset on the thermostat and by pressing the button on this you may hear a click as it resets.

Make sure to check this first before you replace the heater.

Start by removing the top panel and the heater cover at the back of the appliance by undoing these screws.

Disconnect the wires to the heater at the top by removing this screw.

Remove the heater by undoing these screws here.

And then slide the heater off its locating tabs from the back of the machine.

    Refit the heater.

    Then the electrical connectors.

Refit the heater cover and top panel before running a test cycle.
