Video Transcript: How to Replace a Tumble Dryer Drain Pump on a Hotpoint, Indesit or Creda Machine

Welcome to BuySpares, in this video we will be showing how to replace a drain pump and Creda, Hotpoint or Indesit tumble dryer.

Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first unplugged from the mains.

If your tumble dryer is not heating or not filling the container with water, you may have a failed drain pump.

To access or replace the pump you need to unclip the pump cover from the back by disconnecting the pipe, and prising the clips out with a screwdriver. Unclip the lid and the float switch before releasing the pump from the pump cover.

Click the pump into place, refit the connectors and the float switch. Refit the pump assembly and retest the dryer.
