    Welcome to BuySpares.

    In this video will show you how to change a drain pump in a Smeg dishwasher.

    IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS.

    If your dishwasher is not draining and you have checked for a blockage only to find the problem is that the pump is faulty you will need to replace it.

    Open the door and if required drain the sump with a sponge before lowering the machine onto its back making sure not to trap or pull the hoses.

    Remove the base panel by using a screwdriver to release these clips and lift the base off.

    Press this catch to allow the pump motor to rotate and lift off.

    Remove the connectors from the pump.

    Refit by pushing the pump on and twisting it into position.

    Refit the connectors.

    Replace the base panel and lift the machine up right before running a test cycle.
