    Welcome to BuySpares.

In this video we will show you how to replace a door seal on an Indesit washing machine.

Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first unplugged from the mains.

On some models, replacing the seal could be done by removing the front panel but in this case we will show you how to remove it through the door opening.

To help remove the door seal remove the lid for greater access and visibility, this is done by undoing these two screws and you should be able to lift it off. If it is stuck give it a firm thump on the front edge to release it.

Remove the clamp band that holds the door seal in place and fold the seal into the drum. Then remove the clamp band that's holding the seal on to the drum by unscrewing the holding screw, then you can unclip the seal and pull it out.

To help fit the new seal on the lip the drum lubricate the edge with washing up liquid and carefully push over the lip on the drum making sure the seals in the correct position to allow any water to drain through these holes.

Replace the clamp band by stretching around the seal; it may help if you can locate one end with a screwdriver fixed into the front weight when doing this. Replace the seal around the outside edge of the front panel.

Replace the small clamp band into the groove around the edge of the seal. Once you've replaced all the panels check that the seal is fitted correctly by making sure the door closes correctly. You should check for any leaks by running a rinse cycle before you start using the machine.
