Video Transcript: How to Replace a Belt on a Beko Tumble Dryer

Welcome to BuySpares, in this video we will be showing you how to replace a belt in a Beko tumble dryer.

Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first unplugged from the mains.

If your tumble dryer is not moving the clothes in the drum but is heating you may have a broken belt. To remove the tumble dryer belt, take the top off the appliance by undoing these screws, next remove the inspection cover and vent duct by removing these screws.

Remove all the screws around the back panel leaving a screw at the top on either side and carefully ease it away from the cabinet at the base. This will allow the drum to move back off its front support, to slip the new belt over the drum.

Slide the belt to the front of the drum and use as a handle to lift the drum back into position, then check the heater plugs is still connected and refit the screws around the back panel.

Check the drum turns freely and then refit the belt using a half inch socket and an extension on to the motor spindle.

Carefully rotate the drum to ensure the belt runs onto the pulley and settles into position on the drum. Refit the vent cover screwing in place, and finally refit the top cover before turning supply back on and testing the repair.
