Video Transcript: How to Replace a Belling Oven Door Catch on a Cooker

Welcome to BuySpares, In this video we will show how to change the door catch on a Belling oven.

IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS

Start by removing the side panel by taking out these screws here.

Next undo the catch screws and lift off.

Fit the new catch in position and screw in place.

Note: on some catches you may think the screw threads have not been machined.

This is normal as the screws used actually cut their own threads as they are screwed in.

Check the lock alignment by closing and opening the door and adjust the catch height or the striker pin as required.

Finally refit the side panel and reconnect the cooker and test.
