Video Transcript: How to Cure a leaky dispenser (Indesit or Hotpoint Machines)

Welcome to BuySpares. This video will show how to fix a leaking dispenser on Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines.

Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first disconnected from the mains.

If your machine is only leaking at the end of a cycle it could be due to mould in the dispenser jets causing leaking from the drawer down the front.

Use a brush to try and clear the jets but if the problem continues replace the dispenser top.

Start by taking the cabinet top off.

Next take off the control panel by removing these screws.

Unscrew the dispenser from the valves, and lift off.

Unhook the hose and lift out the dispenser body.

Unclip the drawer base from the dispenser top.And transfer the base to the new top.

Refit the assembly and hook the hose on.

Screw the cover to the valves making sure the seals are in place.

    Refit the control panel.

Refit the drawer, then the top panel.

And run a test cycle if required.
