If the light in your oven is no longer working, it is most likely that the bulb has blown. This can be expected to happen after a period of time and use. In this video we show you how to remove and replace the lamp in an oven.
For information on how to confirm a fault on a cooker, oven or hob see our other articles.
IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS.
Open the oven door and locate the position of the lamp, remove the glass covering by unscrewing it.
The bulb should either unscrew or pull out. If it pulls out, this is a halogen bulb and the new bulb should not be touched by hands, but handled using a soft clean tissue.
Fit the new bulb into place, and replace the covering.
Please bear in mind that the location and type of lamp may vary according to your brand of oven.
