    Welcome to BuySpares.

In this video we will show you how to repair a hinge on a Hotpoint or Indesit dishwasher.

IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS.

The door hinges on Hotpoint and Indesit dishwashers can either wear, or the hinge pivots can come loose, causing the doors not to close correctly.

In this video we will show you how to repair this.

Remove the outer door lower panel by taking out these six screws.

Be very careful with the inner liner as this has very sharp edges and can easily cut you if you brush against it.

The hinge pivots are at the bottom and as you see this one does not have the spring clip that holds it in place so it can easily come off.

Check the pivot is not showing signs of wear before fitting the clip and replace it if required.

When fitting the spring clip use a small socket and a large pair of pliers to squeeze the pivot and clip it together.

Finally refit the door panel and run a test cycle.
