The Blade for your trimmer can be single or double-sided. On single-sided blades only the top blade oscillates and on a double-side blade the cut happens in both directions, helping you to work more efficiently.

If you find cut branch tips appear ragged or light in colour, or if your existing blade snags on the hedge, then the blade will most likely be tearing rather than slicing.

Ideally, you shouldn’t wait until the blade is showing signs of serious wear before replacing it. Using this replacement/additional blade after every 50 hours of operation will help maintain cutting performance.
