    Video Transcript: How to Replace a Tumble Dryer Drive Belt (Hoover)

    Welcome to BuySpares, In this video we'll show you how to replace a drive belt in a Hoover tumble dryer.

    Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first unplugged from the mains.

    If your drum does not rotate but the machine is making the regular noise indicating the motor is running the drive belt may be damaged and need to be replaced.

    Remove the cabinet top, and the control panel.

    Next remove the door seal and door, and the drum support from the front of the machine.

    Next remove the lower front cover.

    Then remove the front panel, and the drum support from the front of the machine.

    Remove the vent cover, and the internal ring.

    The fan, and the duct cover.

    Fit the new belt over the drum. fit the belt onto the motor shaft, and refit the drum support frame.

    Fit the belt on to the tensioner pulleys, turning the drum to ensure it is aligned correctly.

    Refit the duct cover, fan, internal ring, and vent cover.

    Refit the front panel. refit the door seal. The door and lower cover.

    Next refit the control panel, and the cabinet top before testing the appliance.
