Microwave Waveguide Cover
The purpose of a microwave waveguide cover is to shield the opening through which the microwaves enter the oven cavity. Microwaves are produced by the Magnetron behind the control panel and the waveguide cover prevents food particles and moisture getting into the internal workings of the microwave. During use or cleaning your waveguide cover can become damaged and may need to be replaced.

How to replace a faulty waveguide cover
The waveguide cover will be located on the inside of the microwave oven. It will usually be on the right-hand side or in the roof of the microwave, held by a couple fo retaining screws. To replace it, firstly ensure that the microwave is unplugged from the power supply and remove the damaged waveguide.
