Video Transcript: How to Replace a Hoover Control Board on an Washing Machine

    Welcome to BuySpares.

In this video we'll show you how to replace a control board on a Hoover washing machine.

Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first unplugged from the mains.

If your Hoover washing machine is not selecting the correct cycle, or if the control panel has failed it may need to be replaced.

Remove the top panel and slide it back before lifting it off, remove the soap drawer and screws holding the front panel. The soap dispenser housing is now free to be pushed back, unclip and release the control panel by pressing on these tabs, then lift off the front panel. Take photos of the board’s electrical connections, before unclipping them and disconnect the plugs.

With the new board remove any display covers, set your program selector to the 12 o'clock position clip into place.

Reconnect the electrical connections, replace the control panel and reposition the soap drawer into place. Rescrew the control panel and the soap drawer.

Lower the lid onto the locking pegs before screwing in position.

Reconnect the washing machine and run a short test cycle to ensure the machine is working correctly.
