    Welcome to BuySpares.

In this video we will show you how to replace a drain pump in a Beko washing machine.

Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first unplugged from the mains.

If your washing machine will not empty and you have checked for a blockage, you may have a faulty drain pump and need to replace it. To replace the drain pump on most machines it is easiest to tip the machine onto its side to access it from underneath.

Disconnect any pipes after draining and check the drawer before lowering on to a towel or carpet to prevent damage. Please be careful as the appliance may be very heavy.

There are two pumps on this machine, the circulation pump and the drain pump. The drain pump is nearest to the drain hose, disconnect the electrical connectors, take out the screws holding the pump and lift it off.

On many pumps you can replace the pump motor on its own, check and remove any screws, and in some cases twist the motor to disconnect from the pump. Refit the new motor and seal before screwing the pump in position.

Reconnect the electrical connections, lift the machine upright and reconnect the supply and drain hoses. Check that the pump is fitted correctly by running a rinse cycle to check for leaks before you start using the machine.
