Video Transcript: How to Replace a Dishwasher Drain Pump

    Welcome to BuySpares.

In this video we'll be showing you how to change the drain pump in a dishwasher.

IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS.

After ensuring the machine is drained disconnect the supply and remove any dishes, before carefully lowering the machine onto its back.

Remove the base cover by undoing these screws and disconnecting the anti-flood switch.

Locate the drain pump assembly and disconnect the electrical connections and remove the drain hose.

Remove the screw and take the pump assembly off the sump and lift it out.

Fit the new pump with the seal and its connectors, and reattach the drain hose.

Refit the anti-flood switch and base panel.

Carefully lift upright and reconnect the supply hose and electric supply.

Run a test cycle and check for leaks.
