Welcome to BuySpares. This video will show how to change a cooking ring element on an electric cooker.

A failed element may only partially heats or not heat at all so you will need to replace it.

IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS

Then remove the hob top by undoing and lifting out the push in rivets.

As you lift of the top, slide out the warning light to release the top.

Before disconnecting the ring connectors take a reference photo, then slide the fixing springs to disengage them from the support bar.

Lower the faulty element onto a flat surface before transferring the springs to the same position on the new element.

Place the new element onto the support bar and engage the springs before connecting using your reference photo.

Finally fit the hob top back to the cooker, refitting the warning light and refit the rivets before testing the appliance.
