Video Transcript: How to Replace a Condenser Dryer Drawer Front (Indesit or Hotpoint)

Welcome to BuySpares, in this video we will show you how to change the drawer front on a Hotpoint condenser dryer..

Important: before replacing a part in any electrical appliance, you must ensure that the appliance is first unplugged from the mains.

On Hotpoint and Indesit tumble dryers there is a coupling that could be difficult to remove.

Simply take the drawer out and place on a flat surface. Using a flat bladed screwdriver or a blunt knife apply pressure to this area here.

Carefully start to prise it off to one side then the other.

Once the handle is removed if you also need to replace the bracket then using a small flat blade or blunt knife slide it between the coupling till the locating pegs can slide under the bracket.

Once released do the same on the other side until the bracket slides off.

Then fit the handle by hooking onto this edge then push it onto the bracket until it clips in place.

To reassemble just carefully slide onto the tank and push it until the pegs pop into position to hold it.

Finally replace the drawer before testing the machine.
