IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS.

If you find your dishes aren't getting properly cleaned, there may be a problem with the spray arms. If these are blocked by food or other debris they may not spin round or release water properly, which will affect the performance of your dishwasher.

To access the bottom spray arm, you need to remove the bottom basket.

Take hold of the spray arm and twist the nut clockwise to release it.

Run the spray arm under a tap and shake it to release any food that might be stuck in there.

To remove the top spray arm, remove the top basket by sliding it halfway out and then undoing the clips at the side to release it.

The top spray arm is removed the same as the bottom one by turning the nut to unscrew it.

Also remember to clean out the tube that feeds the spray arm, which runs along the bottom of the basket. This can be rinsed under the tap to dislodge any debris.

When replacing the basket, remember that the handle goes at the front. Line the wheels up with the runners and slide it on.

Replace the clips to stop it from sliding back out.

Replace the bottom basket by lining the wheels up and sliding it back onto the runners until it's all the way in.
