Your tumble dryer's filters will collect lint, fluff and other debris from your clothes during the drying process. They should ideally be cleaned after every load to prevent overheating and risk of fire. In this video we show you how to remove the filters from a tumble dryer so that they can be cleaned and replaced.
What you'll need: Replacement Filters (if required)
IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS
The door filter is located on the inside of the door, and can be removed by sliding out, so any dirt or debris can be wiped off.
The door aperture filter is located inside the front of the drum, and can be easily lifted out and removed for cleaning.
The door to the condenser box is located on the front of the tumble dryer. Open it by pressing in the catch, and remove the inner door by turning the clips. To remove the filter, unlock the second set of clips, and the filter can then be pulled out. This can be rinsed out by the sides and ends in the sink.
Please be aware that the location of the filters may vary according to the make and model of your tumble dryer.
