    Video Transcript: How to Change the Switch Bank on a Cooker Hood


    IMPORTANT: BEFORE REPLACING A PART IN ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, YOU MUST ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS FIRST UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS.

    For this process you'll need a Torx 15 Screwdriver.

    Start by removing the grease filters from underneath the cooker hood, these should lift off easily.

    Remove the screws that hold the lamp assembly in place, and carefully remove the lamp assembly.

    Remove the screws that hold the plastic casing together, and carefully pull apart the two halves of the casing.

    Remove the wires from the switches, you should make a note or photograph of where each wire belongs, lift out the switch and replace with the new switch.

    Replace the casing, making sure the two halves are properly fitted back together, and replace the screws.

    Replace the lamp assembly in the cooker hood and replace the screws to hold it in place.

    Replace the grease filters, and the job is done.
