The Grain Mill attachment uses an authentic milling action to quickly process grains and pulses. It will mill them to any grain size you need, from coarse granules to a very fine flour. By milling your own flour at home you can be sure of the initial quality of the grain and also that it is not contaminated by other grains - vital for anyone with an allergy to certain flours & gluten found in wheat, rye, barley and oats.
The Grain Mill makes it possible to produce alternative gluten-free flours from rice, buckwheat, millet or chick peas. Rice flour makes a great alternative for pastry, and buckwheat, bulghur wheat and chick pea flours are used extensively for traditional Eastern European and Indian flat breads and pancakes - these flours are generally only available in specialist shops, but can easily be made using the Grain Mill.
It will of course also mill the more traditional cereals such as wheat, rye, husked barley, pearl barley and oats.
